Objectives

In an increasingly interconnected world, fostering global awareness and cross-cultural understanding is essential in preparing students for the future. Jurong Pioneer Junior College recognises the importance of providing meaningful international exposure as part of a holistic education.

The JP Global Experience represents the college’s internationalisation efforts, offering students opportunities to learn beyond the classroom and across national borders. Developed and coordinated by JPJC, the programme provides a distinctive platform for students to engage with diverse cultures and perspectives, while developing civic-mindedness, cross-cultural literacy, and a sense of global citizenship.

These overseas learning experiences support students’ growth as reflective learners and responsible individuals, equipped with the mindset and skills to navigate an interconnected world.

A key strength of the JP Global Experience lies in the diverse range of internationalisation trips offered. Recognising that students have varied interests and aspirations, the programme provides opportunities for students to select overseas learning experiences aligned with their individual curiosities and passions. Interdisciplinary Focus

The JP Global Experience features internationalisation trips with varied interdisciplinary emphases, offering students a rich spectrum of learning experiences. TIE Fund

Financial support will be given to students by MOE under TRIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE (TIE) Fund. Students could also utilise Edusave grant to fund the trip. Needy students could apply additional financial support through the college, subject to approval.
