Scholars Development Programme
The Scholars Development Programme adopts a broad-based and holistic approach that aims to develop our students in the programme to their full potential, prepare them for scholarship opportunities and empower them to achieve their career goals and aspirations.
Mission: To equip promising students with opportunities and exposure, helping them become compassionate, informed, and skilled leaders who serve their community to the best of their ability.
	
Selection Criteria:
L1R5 raw score of 11 and below. Other considerations include:
	
- Keen to apply for scholarships
- Leadership experience / intending to take up leadership role in JPJC
- Excellent character reference
- Selection interview

 Structured Mentoring Programme
	Structured Mentoring ProgrammeEach student in this programme is assigned a teacher mentor who will guide them in discussions about higher education, scholarships, and career goals. The teacher mentors will also help students identify growth opportunities that enhance the development of 21st Century Competencies and support them in documenting their experiences through e-portfolios.
 Student Experience Programme with Meet-The-People Session
Student Experience Programme with Meet-The-People SessionDuring the Meet-the-People Sessions, students can gain an insight of the real concerns of the community and how the Grassroots Adviser views and resolves issues as a community leader.
 
 
 
 
 Leadership Camp for West Zone Sec Schools
Leadership Camp for West Zone Sec SchoolsStudents in this programme plan and organise an annual Leadership Camp for secondary school student leaders, primarily from the West Zone cluster of schools, during the June holidays. This event offers scholars the opportunity to learn how to inspire and impact their juniors, fostering a sense of leadership and responsibility. Through this leadership camp, both the student organisers and secondary school attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how 21st Century Competencies - such as growth mindset, building positive relationships, and ethical decision-making - are essential for their development as student leaders.
 
 
 
 
 Jurong Spring Family Sports Carnival
Jurong Spring Family Sports CarnivalStudents in this programme, together with members from sports CCAs in JPJC, collaborate with the People’s Association’s Jurong Spring Community Sports Network to organise a family sports carnival for the Jurong Spring community. The event features interactive game booths that engage residents across different age groups, and is graced by Dr Hamid Razak, Adviser to West Coast–Jurong West GRC (Jurong Spring). This carnival provides students with the opportunity to serve the wider community while nurturing personal growth through community engagement.
